When Sarah-Jayne and Grant first got in touch with me about their Cyprus wedding in Phapos, I was so excited. Being chosen to cover a wedding abroad is such a privilege for any photographer, more so for me as I love to to travel. They were planning a relaxed outdoor wedding, with a small group of close family and friends.
I met them both nearly two years before the wedding but time flew and before I knew it I was in Cyprus with them both enjoying a beer and planning there day.
The whole wedding party had flew out a few days before so lots of events were happening, and as luck would have it there was an England game on the night before the wedding.
On the day of the wedding bridal prep started at 10am so a lot earlier than a traditional Cyprus wedding , when I arrived the bride and bridesmaids were enjoying a pre-wedding drink, and it was instant fun, because everyone was in a good mood and super relaxed.
The wedding took place on the roof of Annabelle Hotel Paphos, it was a super hot day but you could feel the excitement mount as time got closer. The Annabelle Hotel was the perfect choice for the wedding, not only were the views incredible, but were the wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast was taking place over looking the sea, the views were stunning. The views were to become even more breath taking during the speeches as the sun was setting over the sea creating an incredible backdrop for them.
The evening promised to be so much fun with some local dancers coming to entertain the wedding party, to some of the groups surprise they would get involved with some traditional Greek dancing. As the beer flowed the dancing defiantly got a lot better, to check out the full excitement of the day click on the video and watch there day unfold.
Massive thanks to both Sarah-Jayne and Grant for letting me share there day with them, you guys rock :)
