Nikkola & Sam – Warwick House Wedding Photographer
Sometimes you get off a Zoom call and just know a wedding is going to be something special. That’s exactly how I felt after chatting with Nikkola and Sam. The energy, the excitement, and how much Nikkola loved my work, it was one of those calls that really gets you buzzing for the big day.
A couple of days before the wedding, I caught up with them again as they were having the Vlog My Wedding cameras too. It was great to chat, get to know them better, and see just how much fun they were both going to bring to their day.
Their wedding was held at Warwick House , one of my favourite venues. It’s the kind of place that feels like home, with the friendliest team and a perfect mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. It suited Nikkola and Sam perfectly.
On the day, things kicked off in brilliant style. The groom actually arrived before the bride (which doesn’t happen often!), so guests were already mingling, enjoying the sunshine, and soaking in the atmosphere. There was a great buzz around the place , drinks were flowing, laughter filled the air, and you could tell everyone was ready for a proper celebration.
When Nikkola arrived, she brought a whole new level of energy to the morning. She jumped straight into helping everyone get ready, surrounded by friends, family, and a couple of very excited kids who had taken it upon themselves to document everything on video!
The couple chose an outdoor ceremony, and Warwick House couldn’t have looked better for it. The weather was perfect, and as Nikkola made her entrance, all eyes were on her. There were plenty of happy tears, big smiles, and a whole lot of emotion as she made her way down the aisle to a slightly nervous but very proud groom.
After the ceremony, there was a surprise in store. Nikkola’s mum had arranged a dove release, something I hadn’t photographed in years. We gathered everyone at the front of the venue under the guise of a “group photo,” before revealing the surprise. The look on their faces was priceless as the doves took flight, a really beautiful and symbolic moment.
With the formalities out of the way, guests relaxed into the afternoon with drinks in the sunshine. The speeches brought plenty of laughs (and a few emotional moments too), before the couple slipped away for a short trip to Chesterton Windmill.
The windmill is such a stunning location, and it gave Nikkola and Sam a bit of calm, private time together to soak it all in. The light was beautiful, and we captured some gorgeous portraits that really reflected who they are as a couple: fun, relaxed, and totally in sync.
Back at Warwick House, it was time for the cake cut and first dance. and then the party really started. The couple could finally let loose, enjoy their drinks, and celebrate surrounded by all their favourite people as the sun set over the gardens.
incredible day from start to finish — full of laughter, energy, and emotion. Warwick House never disappoints, and Nikkola and Sam made it a day to remember.
