I was really excited the first time I shot a wedding at The Mill Barns, as it was on there opening week, it meant I got to be one of the first photographers to showcase my images of the venue.
Mill Barns is such a popular choice for couples. As a wedding photographer, it’s an absolute dream. The light in the ceremony room is beautiful, perfect for capturing those emotional moments without needing to stage anything. The space outside is just as good, with plenty of room for guests to mingle and enjoy drinks while I capture those relaxed, candid shots.
What I really love about Mill Barns is how versatile it is for photography. It’s stunning in the daytime, with so many natural backdrops for portraits, but when the evening comes, that’s when the magic really happens. The venue lights up beautifully at night, and it completely transforms the look and feel of your photos. Even if it rains, there are so many covered spots and creative corners to make use of, so you’ll always come away with incredible images.
Of course, it’s not just about photography — Mill Barns is also an amazing wedding venue in general. It’s got that perfect mix of modern wow factor and warm, welcoming charm. The food is fantastic, and one of the best things is that you can bring your own drinks during the day, which gives couples that extra flexibility to really make it their own celebration.
If you’re planning your Mill Barns wedding and want photos that feel natural, full of energy, and true to your day, I’d love to be your Mill Barns wedding photographer.
