Sarah & Greg’s Beautiful Bourton Hall Wedding

Sarah and Greg got married at Bourton Hall, and after meeting them both a couple of times before the big day, it was obvious just how excited they were about getting married. I couldn't wait to capture it all for them.

The morning started in the bungalow at the front of Bourton Hall, and although everyone was apparently camera shy, it only took a few minutes before the room was filled with laughter and giggles.

Meanwhile, Greg and the boys were just down the road, enjoying his final breakfast as a single man. Although I suspect the groomsmen were enjoying it slightly more than Greg.

Sarah and Greg had got totally lucky with the weather. After months of blistering heat, they were given the luxury of a little cloud cover. It was warm, but one of those lovely English summer days where the temperature was just about perfect.

As the girls moved across to the bridal room, everything was lovely and relaxed. Greg and the groomsmen never appeared quite so relaxed, though.

As always, it was great to see a team of groomsmen trying to figure out how to put a buttonhole on. It's one of those wedding traditions that somehow seems incredibly complicated when you're actually standing there trying to do it.

Greg also had the family dog in tow, who was absolutely loving all the attention he was getting. Little did he know that his moment in the spotlight was about to increase even further, as he was going to be walking down the aisle too!

The Dad Reveal

Back in the bridal room, the atmosphere was incredibly relaxed. The girls were already super early, so we had time to do a dad reveal.

I love these moments. They are one of my favourite parts of the wedding day, and the look on Dad's face totally summed up why. It was pure joy, shock and a fair bit of teary emotion all rolled into one.

With everyone ready, it was time to make the walk down the aisle, but not before tackling the stunning stone staircase at Bourton Hall. It really is an incredible feature of the venue and makes for a pretty spectacular entrance.

By now Greg and his best man were at the top of the aisle, patiently waiting and sharing the odd moment of laughter.

But soon the laughter stopped as Greg waited for Sarah to walk down the aisle.

Well... not before the grand entrance of the family dog, of course!

Although the dog got everyone smiling, Sarah was soon about to steal the show.

As she entered, the look on both Sarah and Greg's faces said absolutely everything. The connection between them as Sarah reached the top of the aisle was nothing short of beautiful.

That feeling continued throughout the ceremony, with lots of loving smiles and the odd laugh along the way.

Bourton Hall Wedding Photos

With the ceremony done, it was time for the guests to enjoy the grounds of Bourton Hall, which as always looked stunning.

With the weather at the perfect temperature, there was no need for everyone to hide in the shade of the trees. Guests mingled, laughed, smiled and simply enjoyed the day.

The next formal part of the day was the speeches, and all three were brilliant. They had just the right balance of heartfelt words, plenty of emotion and a few slightly edgier laughs thrown in for good measure.

With the main formalities done, Sarah and Greg headed outside for some couple photos.

They wanted to capture a few must have spots around Bourton Hall, including the balcony, which is always a favourite, as well as the front of the building.

We also got some great images across the lawns.

Greg and I definitely got our steps in, while Sarah bravely marched on in her heels,  something that neither the grooms nor I ever seem to take into account when planning these photos.

But it was absolutely worth it.

We got some stunning portraits of the two of them, capturing a little bit of time together away from the madness of the wedding day.

First Dance at Bourton Hall

With the portraits done, it was time to head back inside for the first dance.

The first dance at Bourton Hall is always a real showstopper, and the confetti I throw during the first dance is one of those moments that makes for a seriously wow photo.

Today was no different.

With confetti flying and Sarah and Greg enjoying their first dance as husband and wife, we got some fantastic images.

And with all the formal stuff finally done, it was time for everyone to relax, dance and properly enjoy the rest of the night with their friends and family.

Congratulations Sarah and Greg. It was an absolute pleasure to capture your Bourton Hall wedding, and I hope you have an amazing life together.
