The Smiliest Bride, Golden Sun & a Sea Dip –
Becky & Kirsten’s Osborne Hotel Wedding
I love Cornwall and Devon, and I get super excited every time I have the opportunity to head to the coast. But this wedding had me extra excited, the couple were just genuinely lovely humans. The Osborne Hotel is an epiclooking building, and it looked even more impressive as I sent the drone up for some shots.
Both girls were getting ready in separate rooms and apart from Mum getting us a little lost while showing me around they were close enough for me to flit between them. It meant I got to enjoy a super relaxed morning with both of them. Everything was calm and drama-free, until Becky started to get dressed and realised the lovely shirt she’d bought wasn’t cufflink-friendly. But fear not when your best man has a pair of nail scissors, anything is possible. Operation Cufflink was a success, and Becky was soon ready to head down to greet guests before the ceremony.
The girls were blessed with the most amazing autumn weather, warm sunshine and clear skies, so an outdoor ceremony was an easy choice. The views from the ceremony space were stunning; the whole day was shaping up beautifully. As the ceremony was about to begin, Becky seemed pretty relaxed, maybe more excited about jumping in the sea for photos later! Kirsten made a stunning entrance, and the backdrop of the venue was honestly breathtaking.
The ceremony was filled with smiles. Becky looked like she was having the best day of her life—I’ve genuinely never seen such a smiley bride. With the sunshine still blazing, everyone enjoyed their drinks reception outside, soaking up those surprise autumn rays while overlooking the sea.
By now, there was plenty of talk about the couple hitting the water later. I was buzzing for the couple photos they were totally up for climbing the rocks on the beach and were happy for me to capture them just being themselves together. But first… wedding breakfast and speeches.
Once the formalities were wrapped up, it was beach time. These two were so obviously happy together; photographing them was effortless. They were relaxed, natural, and totally up for some adventurous shots on the rocks. Afterwards, we headed back inside, and I was genuinely shocked everyone was already on the dancefloor. I’ve never seen a wedding where the dancefloor was full before the first dance! Clearly, a day of sunshine and drinks had everyone in the mood for early evening dancing.
Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better, the whole group decided to head down to the sea for a late-night dip. I was so excited imagine a whole wedding party running into the ocean! Sadly, the tide was in, so the epic group sea-jump didn’t quite happen. But the couple and a few of their closest friends still went for it, signing off their day in absolute style
