Ian & Steph’s Wedding at Redhouse Barn - Redhouse Barn Wedding Photographer
When Ian and Steph booked me, I knew their wedding day was going to be something special. They’d picked one of my absolute favourite venues, Redhouse Barn , had my favourite band Apollo lined up, and even added my video and Photobooth package. With that combo, I knew we were in for a day packed with fun, laughter, and incredible moments.
RedHouse Barn - Great Outdoor space
The morning started with a bit of drizzle, but you could tell straight away that nothing was going to dampen anyone’s spirits. The bridal prep room was full of energy and laughter, while Steph stayed cool and calm, chilling on the sofa and enjoying watching the buzz of the morning unfold around her.
Ian arrived early, part organisation, part excuse for a cheeky early beer with guests who’d also arrived ahead of time, and even with the mixed weather, Redhouse Barn came through as always. Their covered outdoor area is brilliant, the only venue I know where you can be outside, enjoy the fresh air, and still stay completely dry.
Then it was ceremony time. Ian made a brilliant entrance to a barn full of guests wearing face masks of the bride, one of the funniest, most original starts I’ve seen. When Steph walked in with her daughter, it was emotional from the first moment. She and Ian shared a long hug before the laughter and happy tears began to flow.
Steph had some beautiful words she’d written to share with Ian at the end of the ceremony. It was incredibly emotional, the kind of moment that reminds you exactly why weddings are so special.
After the ceremony, everyone headed outside for drinks, hugs, and canapé's. We grabbed a few quick group shots, loads of personality, big smiles, and that perfect mix of excitement and chaos that I love capturing.
A day full of energy at Redhosue Barn
The wedding breakfast kicked off in style with a trend I absolutely love, the napkin wave! It’s such a brilliant way to set the mood and get the whole room buzzing. The speeches followed, and they were packed with emotion and laughter. Ian’s son made a fantastic best man, and Steph’s maid of honour wrapped it all up perfectly with just the right mix of humour and heart.
As the evening rolled in, I knew the fun was just getting started. Before the band even began, the photobooth completely stole the show, honestly, I’ve never seen guests so excited to jump in and strike a pose. It was non stop laughter, props everywhere, and some absolutely hilarious moments.
Then came the first dance, but not before Steph brought the room to tears once more with a beautiful thankcyou to her mum. The dance itself was full of emotion and love… and then the party exploded.
Once Apollo hit the stage, the dance floor turned electric, easily my busiest one of the year. Every guest was up dancing, singing, and celebrating like there was no tomorrow. It was one of those nights that you just didn’t want to end, pure joy from start to finish
